True North Strategies Group advises on executive strategy, government contracting, technology and AI adoption, proposal development, and project management, working alongside your team from initial assessment through final delivery.
Five practice areas, working under one standard of accountability.
Strategic advising for senior executives navigating organizational change, workforce strategy, and high-stakes decisions, informed by experience inside complex, highly regulated organizations.
Support for organizations pursuing federal and defense work, including Other Transaction agreements and consortium-based acquisition pathways: compliance guidance, program oversight, staffing strategy, and sponsor relationship management for both traditional and non-traditional contractors.
Guidance on technology adoption, AI and data strategy, cybersecurity, and emerging capability areas such as robotics and unmanned systems, for organizations modernizing operations, systems, and infrastructure.
Proposal and capture strategy for federal, state, and institutional opportunities, from early positioning through a submitted proposal or short solutions brief, built for both traditional procurements and rapid-acquisition pathways.
Site and building systems analysis, construction documents and specifications, contractor bidding, and construction administration for architecture and design firms delivering education and healthcare projects.
Site & systems analysis → design & documentation → bidding & construction → closeout
Leaders who came up through the military bring a different kind of operational experience to the boardroom. Our principal did too.
Turning operational leadership built in uniform, at scale and under pressure, into a clear executive presence in the boardroom.
Advising from a firm principal who served, not a consultant translating military experience secondhand.
Applying the same rigor used to lead large units and complex programs to workforce strategy and organizational reform in the private sector.
Every engagement moves through the same four phases, whichever practice area it sits in.
000° Assess
Understand the situation before proposing anything: the site, the market, the organization, or the opportunity, depending on the engagement.
090° Plan
Build a small number of well-tested options, each with a clear tradeoff, and recommend one rather than leaving the choice to you alone.
180° Execute
Work alongside your team through delivery, not from a slide deck handed off at the end of the engagement.
270° Sustain
Build the capability to hold the course after the engagement ends, with a short list of things actually worth measuring.
Three decades of project delivery across institutional, federal, and military work.
Delivering complex construction and renovation projects for institutional, educational, and federal clients.
Concurrent grant-funded construction projects managed at once for a highly regulated federal agency, supporting the accessibility and functional needs of disabled Veterans.
Personnel led during military construction deployments, directing planning, schedule, budget, and quality on active projects.
A principal-led practice. The people who scope your project are the people who deliver it.
